The Color of Independent Film
Distribution
An insightful exploration of the new "color" of
independent filmmaking as we provides an insider's look
at the business of making independent urban films.
Issues involved are financing, producing, and packaging,
selling and distributing a commercially viable urban
film. This panel will also explore the growing number of
studio independent divisions; first look deals, and
producers working inside and outside the studio system.
Have the boundaries between the studio world and the
independent world been completely erased? How can an
independent filmmaker stay "truly" independent and find
an audience? This session will focus on the state of
affairs between the independent and studio realms.
